Mine ownership and production
Acquisition &
Tenure
Establishing ownership of a mining operation requires securing mineral rights in addition to surface land rights. This may be achieved through the acquisition of existing operations, leasing mining claims, or staking and developing new claims.
02 — FGI Mining
Regulatory and Commercial Compliance
Successful mining operations require comprehensive understanding and management of mining leases, environmental obligations, permitting requirements, and commercial sales agreements.

02 — FGI Mining
Operation Strategy
Smaller-scale, high-margin mining projects frequently focus on narrow-vein deposits, which typically offer lower capital requirements and shorter development timelines. In some cases, production can commence within six months of project initiation.

03 — FGI Mining
Ore Processing
Mining operations commonly process and concentrate ore on-site to minimise transportation costs. More advanced operations may also operate milling facilities capable of producing gold doré bars for shipment to accredited refineries.

Gold Sales, Marketing and
Distribution
01
Refining and Sales Channels
Gold production is generally sold to private buyers, specialist trading firms, or directly to refineries such as The Perth Mint. Refineries assess purity and compensate producers based on prevailing spot market prices.
02
Offtake Agreements
Offtake agreements can be negotiated with traders or industrial end-users, under which a predetermined portion — or the entirety — of production is sold under agreed commercial terms. Refined products are frequently distributed through specialist commodity traders.
03
Direct Sales Strategies
Raw or alluvial gold can be marketed directly to licensed dealers or be completed internally through dedicated commercial divisions to optimise pricing and market access.
trading and market participation in mining
Physical Commodity
Trading
Opportunities can present to expand beyond the sale by trading third-party material and participating directly in physical commodity markets to diversify and enhance revenue streams.
01 — FGI Resources
Logistics and SupplyChain Control
Vertical participation in trading enables greater control over logistics, improved market intelligence, and reduced reliance on intermediaries.
02 — FGI Resources
Vertical Integration
Vertical integration can occur by acquiring mining and processing assets, allowing control across the full value chain — from extraction and processing through to end-user distribution.
Marketing Positioning &
Investing Leverage
Mining investments are highly sensitive to operating leverage, which reflects the margin between production costs and prevailing commodity prices. Disciplined cost management and lower all-in sustaining costs (AISC) can generate significant returns, particularly in favourable gold price environments. Smaller-capitalisation mines may offer substantial upside potential, albeit with increased operational and market risk.
How we deliver
Delivery
Capability
FGI can successfully deliver across ownership, production, sales, and trading activities by adopting an integrated operating model that combines resource acquisition, efficient mine development, processing capability, and commercial market expertise. FGI secures high-quality mineral assets, implements cost-effective extraction and processing methods, and establishes strong relationships with refineries, traders, and end-users through strategic offtake and supply agreements.
By integrating logistics, marketing, and trading functions, FGI is better positioned to optimize margins, manage price volatility, and maintain greater control over the supply chain. In addition, maintaining disciplined financial management, regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and operational scalability enable sustainable growth and long-term value creation across the entire mining lifecycle.
